haus of moulin noir

Ballroom. Art. Culture. Liberation.

MORE THAN A BALLROOM HAUS.

Haus of Moulin Noir is a Black and brown queer cultural institution rooted in Ballroom, art, education, and community. We develop artists, preserve culture, create original work, build belonging, and open pathways to opportunity. Bold, warm, and editorial, we center joy, rigor, and mutual care as tools for collective thriving. Ballroom is our foundation. Art is our language. Liberation is our practice.

WE BUILT A HAUS BEFORE WE HAD A BUILDING.

now were building a home

Haus of Moulin Noir is building toward a permanent Black and Brown queer arts and cultural center in Kansas City-a dedicated home for Ballroom, art, education, performance, cultural preservation, creative entrepreneurship, and community. This is about creating cultural infrastructure that can outlive us.
