Moulin Noir Arts Collective

Where Black Femme and LGBTQ+ Artistry Meets Liberation

Moulin Noir KC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and uplifting Black femme and LGBTQ+ artistry through ballroom culture, burlesque, and performance arts. We exist to create safe, affirming, and empowering spaces where Black femmes, trans, nonbinary, and queer creatives can showcase their talents, build community, and access resources for sustainability in the arts.

Where Black Femme & LGBTQ+ Artistry Thrives, Resists, and reclaims Space.

Rooted in the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance, ballroom culture, and burlesque history, Moulin Noir KC centers historically impacted voices, ensuring that Black queer and femme artists have platforms for self-expression, joy, and liberation. Through performances, workshops, mentorship, and advocacy, we cultivate spaces where artistry intersects with activism, providing economic and creative opportunities for our community.
